I paint from a desire to touch what cannot be named. For me, painting is a way of entering that liminal space between the visible and the unseen—where matter, intuition, and presence meet. I am interested in the mysterious movement through which something nebulous that stirs beneath the surface can gradually take form, becoming visible without ever losing its mystery.
Born in India, I was immersed from an early age in a culture where color, spirituality, textiles, and ritual are deeply woven into daily life. That relationship to color and ritual continues to live within me as a sensibility: a feeling for color as vibration, presence, and language beyond narrative.
My lifelong engagement with dance has taught me to experience the body as an instrument of perception. This physical intelligence is at the heart of my painting process. Years immersed in spirituality and healing practices have also deepened my capacity to listen for what is subtle, emergent, and not yet known.
Through layering, erasure, and refinement, I allow the painting to unfold intuitively. I am looking for that moment when something unseen gathers itself into coherence—when intuition, consciousness, and materials converge and the painting arrives at its own resolution.
I paint to re-member myself. It is an embodied encounter with the mystery of being human—a place where color transmits energy, form opens into the formless, and something beyond what is consciously known can be sensed, felt, and touched.
